The entrepreneurial spirit that helped strengthen the United States' economy is alive and well in Kentucky. Small businesses in manufacturing, retail and service industries are springing up in communities across the Commonwealth. Kentuckians are pursuing the dream of owning their own business, and increasing numbers of those businesses are thriving.
In central and southeastern Kentucky, the Eastern Kentucky University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is helping entrepreneurs' dreams of owning a small business come true.
The EKU SBDC is an outreach service of the University's College of Business & Technology. It offers a variety of counseling, training, and information programs and services to the small business owner at little or no cost. The SBDC maintains a professional staff with extensive experience and expertise in the development, management, and expansion of small businesses. Staff members partner with the University, governmental agencies, and the private sector to meet the needs of their clients.
Serving the counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Estill, Garrard, Jackson, Laurel, Lincoln, Madison, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Russell, Wayne and Whitley, we have two offices to serve the small business community in our region.
